Our Story

In 2015, a group of Pharmaceutical recruiters with over 30 years’ experience in the industry were confident they could improve upon the recruitment services available at that time. Following in-depth discussions, the group agreed to form a company to deliver straightforward, effective, reliable recruitment partnerships. Since PharmAppoint’s launch it has provided high quality services to satisfied clients and applicants across six core verticals. PharmAppoint collaborates with a small proportion of companies and concentrates on delivering an outstanding service and delivery rather than being a consultancy working with the whole industry. As a result, PharmAppoint is now considered a key partner by all its clients.

Our Senior Team

Andy Cahill

Director – Quality Assurance

Andy started recruiting into the life science sector in 2012 where he began specialising in Quality Assurance. He went on to head up the Quality desk where he oversaw delivery globally at his previous company. Looking after senior level vacancies and the harder to fill positons within the Quality Assurance market. He has joined PharmAppoint as a director heading up our QA team.

Jeremy Doyle

Director – Commercial

Jeremy leads our global commercial offering having specialised in the market since 2010. He graduated in Chemistry in 2010 and started his recruitment career shortly after, quickly progressing to lead teams focused on sales, marketing, business intelligence and market access.

Adam Griffin

Director – Regulatory Affairs

Adam has been a recruiter in the life sciences sector since 2010, and heads up PharmAppoint’s Regulatory Affairs function. He focuses on senior level retained projects and has been extremely successful in networking with and attracting top talent for a range of clients, from SMEs to leading bio/pharmaceutical companies

Josh Symons

Director – Medical Affairs and Medical Development

Josh heads the global Medical Affairs/Development side of the business. He specialises in the placement of physicians in high calibre positions. Josh started his recruitment career in 2012 in Medical and Regulatory Affairs and was extremely successful in developing that sector. He joined PharmAppoint as a Director heading Medical Affairs and Development in May 2015.

Nick Birkett

Team Lead – Clinical

Nick runs our clinical team at PharmAppoint. He has been recruiting into the clinical research market for over three years. Progressing quickly within the industry, his results delivering into some of the industry’s top CROs and pharmaceutical companies have been outstanding. Nick is very much a team player, who is approachable and informative.

Oli Jopson

Managing Director and Director of Pharmacovigilance

Oli started his recruitment career in 2007 working for the life science arm of an industry-leading global recruitment company. After four very successful years specialising in drug safety, he decided to move to a much smaller boutique agency where he reported to the MD and had oversight of the permanent side of the business. He helped grow this brand from a team of six in the UK to over fifty individuals working globally across three offices. With the experience, relationships and success he gained throughout his career he felt the time was right to form the company we are today – PharmAppoint.
